Read their pledge
We, the members of the Epocrates Clinical Oversight Board have visited the Epocrates company premises, received presentations on company policies and procedures related to content development and data security, and had the opportunity to interview senior management responsible for the integrity of Epocrates Clinical Content, protection of user data, and data privacy.
We are satisfied that we have been afforded access to any information that we deem necessary to render an opinion and to provide ongoing oversight.
Based on our review, the representations of senior management, and our understanding of company practices, it is our opinion that Epocrates has established policies and procedures that adequately protect user information, and that Epocrates content development processes are sound, appropriately separated from commercial interests, and free of bias. In addition, data security has been validated by TRUSTe® and other third party certifications and audits, and we believe that user identified information is not sold, shared or made available in any way that would compromise the anonymity of the user.
