Formulation Changes for Vicodin
The FDA has asked manufacturers to limit the amount of acetaminophen in prescription drug products to reduce the risk of severe liver injury from excessive acetaminophen doses. Later this year, Vicodin (hydrocodone/acetaminophen) will be available in the following new formulations: Vicodin 5 mg/300 mg, Vicodin ES 7.5 mg/300 mg, and Vicodin HP 10 mg/300 mg.
