Handheld Medicare Drug Formulary Information for $99
California Healthcare Foundation
The California HealthCare Foundation and the California Medical Association have launched a special offer to put easy-to-use technology and valuable information about drug formularies — including Medicare Part D — literally in the palm of clinicians' hands.
The two nonprofit organizations are collaborating to make available a Palm Z22® handheld computer (a $99 value) and Epocrates Rx Pro premium software at a discounted price of $99 (a savings of $59.99). The technology provides physicians and other clinicians with the latest information on more than 3,300 prescription drugs, including dosing, adverse reactions, and prices. It also provides easy access to up-to-date Medicare drug formularies, copayments, authorization requirements, and treatment guides.
The $99 offer — available through the end of May — is a nearly 40 percent discount off the regular price of the products. The program is designed to serve clinicians who are new adopters of technology. With the Palm and Epocrates handheld technology, health professionals can save time, increase efficiency, and improve patient care.
