Epocrates Provides Patient Assistance Program Information
Patient assistance programs provide no cost prescription medications to eligible participants. Through a partnership with NeedyMeds.com, Epocrates now publishes an updated list of these valuable programs. NeedyMeds.com is an Internet-based information source of pharmaceutical-sponsored assistance programs. As an integrated part of the Epocrates drug guide, the NeedyMeds list will help you quickly determine whether a patient assistance program exists for a drug and includes a phone number and website for more information about each program. At the NeedyMeds.com website physicians or patients can look up eligibility criteria and instructions for each program and download application forms. To access the NeedyMeds list of drug programs on Epocrates, you must first add it your Epocrates formulary list. Visit our website at www.epocrates.com and click on Add Formularies. Select “NeedyMeds” listed under “Other Groups” in every state. |

Epocrates Advocate of the Month
Chris Tidwell, DO Advocate of the Month This month, we have selected Chris Tidwell, a chief resident from Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio to be our Advocate of the Month. We would like to thank Dr. Tidwell for providing valuable product development feedback over the past several years and for educating his colleagues about Epocrates products. "I have been using Epocrates products since early 1999 and have seen firsthand the development of products from the company and their profound contribution and impact on the technological aspect of the medical world. One of the aspects that I have admired the most has been Epocrates’ innovation. They have continually been one step ahead of the demands and expectations from the medical community with such clinical references as Epocrates Rx® drug and formulary reference, Epocrates ID® infectious disease guide, Epocrates Rx Pro premium clinical reference, Epocrates Rx Online desktop drug reference, Epocrates Dx disease diagnosis and treatment reference and now Epocrates Lab. Being an Emergency Medicine resident physician I need to be highly efficient with my time and energies. I am continually amazed by how helpful Epocrates software is to my everyday work and how they continue to create such tremendous products for the entire medical community. Epocrates products bring even more value to my medical arsenal. I recommend it to all my fellow students, residents and clinicians." -Chris Tidwell, DO For more information on the Epocrates Advocate Program including how to join, please visit our website. |
