Frequently Asked Questions
What specialty areas are available?
The MobileCME learning center provides CME activities across a broad range of specialties. When you first download the MobileCME system it comes preloaded with CME activities for primary care, as well as activities in selected specialties (based on your Epocrates profile). You can add and remove specialties at any time.
How many credits can I earn?
You can earn as many credits as you'd like using the MobileCME learning center. Our courses are available in increments of 0.25, 0.5, and 1 for your convenience.
Are courses only available for physicians?
All courses are available to all of our users. However, the accreditation varies by activity. Some MobileCME courses are accredited for other healthcare professionals, including nurses, PAs, and pharmacists. Please review the accreditation statement prior to starting each activity if you plan to submit the activity for credit.
Do I have to complete the activity at one sitting?
No – if you are interrupted, you can return to the activity later at the exact point at which you left it. The activity will be flagged as “Active” until you complete it and AutoUpdate to send the results to Epocrates.
How do I request my CME certificate?
At the end of every MobileCME activity, you have the option to select credit hours and submit your completed activity for credit. To submit the activity, please AutoUpdate (sync while connected to the Internet). Once you submit an activity for credit, an accredited CME certificate will be sent to you via email.
What happens if I lose my certificate?
If you lose your CME certificate, simply return to the completed activity (shown as "Done") in the MobileCME application, and request a new accredited certificate.
