Richard Jackson, M.D.
Richard Jackson, MD, is a senior investigator in the Section on Immunology and Immunogenetics at Joslin Diabetes Center, where he established the Hood Center for Prevention of Childhood Diabetes and was part of the first multi-center clinical trials for prevention of type 1 diabetes. He is founder and medical director of Joslin’s Diabetes Outpatient Intensive Treatment (DO IT™) program, and is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has authored more than 100 articles and reviews in peer-reviewed journals and has served on review boards for the National Institutes of Health, the American Diabetes Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Canadian Diabetes Association.
