  2. Palm users: Tap on the 'e' symbol, then on "Edit" and "Find."
Pocket PC users: Tap on "Edit" and then "Find."
  3. Tap on the drop-down menu and select "Drugs--Name."

  5. When the progress bar is full, all of the drug matches will be displayed.
  6. Tap on a drug name to view the drug monograph.

"I review the homecare nurses' charts prior to printing up the plan of care for our patients. Sometimes the nurses have either misspelled a medication or their penmanship is difficult to read. Before verifying with the pharmacy, doctor or the nurse, I use my Palm to look for the medication. I use the "find" feature to look up any part of the medication. This has come in very handy. Even if the first syllable is wrong, I can search for the rest of the letters in the medication. For  example, I do a seach for "cillin" if I cannot determine what the letters prior to "cillin" are. Then when I call to verify the medication, I can offer clear choices to the pharmacy or doctor. It saves us both a lot of time."

Note: You can also search by Drugs--Indications,
Drugs--Adverse Reactions, Notes, and many more areas.
