Check IV Compatibility of Drugs and Solutions
With the Epocrates Rx Pro premium mobile drug reference, you can screen for compatibility or incompatibility of IV drugs and solutions. Hundreds of drug monographs contain compatibility information sourced from the King Guide - an authoritative, regularly updated reference on compatibility of parenteral products.
How?
Epocrates Rx Pro/Epocrates Essentials Users:
Tap on the Rx tab and then tap on the MultiCheck icon, 
. - You may select 1-30 drugs or IV products. Note: If a drug is selected for which IV compatibility data is not present in the database (e.g., non-IV products or drugs that have not been studied), a warning message will appear to alert the user that that item will be excluded from the results.
- If only one product is selected, tap "IV" to see compatibility information for that drug uncombined in up to 12 IV solutions OR If two or more products are selected, tap "IV" to see compatibility information on drug-drug combinations in up to 12 IV solutions.
- Results show drug-solution or drug-drug-solution combinations linked by the < - > symbol, divided into four categories: "Compatible," "Not Compatible," "Variable Compatibility," or "Conflicting Reports."
- You can also select a specific solution from the pull-down at the top of the results screen.
