"I am a long time user of Epocrates products. Recently, I also started using Epocrates Rx Online, the new online desktop version of Epocrates. The formulary feature is a great tool to use at the point of care in all three versions. It allows me to show my patients alternatives immediately, if available, and save them money. At other times I explain why we must choose the highest co-payment since this is mandated by their specific problem. This has dramatically cut back pharmacy calls and problems in general. Having Epocrates Rx Online gives me the added value of printing out succinct and accurate medication monographs to give to patients and look up terms using the medical dictionary. I can’t tell you how much patients on new medications appreciate it when their physician not only knows the medication extremely well, but also addresses other economic concerns of pharmaceuticals upfront. I cannot practice medicine without Epocrates."
