Determining operating system version on your Palm OS mobile
- Tap on "Menu" icon (highlighted area in following graphic) on the lower left-hand side of mobile (adjacent to the Graffiti area).

- The "App" menu will drop down from the top of the screen. Select "Info" from this menu.

- When the "Info" screen is displayed, tap the "Version" button.

- Your mobile's Palm OS version number will be displayed at the top of the screen as "Palm OS® software v.X.Y.Z," with numbers instead of X, Y and Z. The numbers following the 'v' indicate your operating system version.
- Tap the "Done" button to close the "Info" screen.
For example, in the highlighted area of the screen shot above (Step 3), "Palm OS® software v.3.5.0" means this mobile is running version 3.5.0 of the Palm Operating System.
Determining free memory (RAM) on your Palm OS mobile
- Tap on "Menu" icon (highlighted area in following graphic) on the lower left-hand side of mobile (adjacent to the Graffiti area).

- The "App" menu will drop down from the top of the screen. Select "Info" from this menu.

- When the "Info" screen is displayed, tap the "Size" button.

- Your mobile's memory (RAM) information will be displayed at the top of the screen as "Free Memory: 0000K of 0000K," with other numbers instead of all 0's. The first number is the amount of free memory; the second number is the amount of total memory on your mobile.
- Tap the "Done" button to close the "Info" screen.
- If you do not have the required amount of free memory available on your mobile you can create more space by deleting unwanted files; click here for instructions on how to delete files.
Note: 1200K is the same as 1.2 MB
For example, as seen in the highlighted area of the screen shot above (Step 3), this device has 5523K (5.5M) of free memory and 7936K (7.9M) of total memory.
Deleting files from your Palm OS mobile to get more free memory
- Tap on "Menu" icon (highlighted area in following graphic) on the lower left-hand side of mobile (adjacent to the Graffiti area).

- The "App" menu will drop down from the top of the screen. Select "Delete" from this menu.

- After the "Delete" screen is displayed, choose which file you wish to delete by tapping on the file name and then tap the "Delete" button at the bottom of the screen. Please note: the selected file will be deleted immediately.

- Repeat steps 4 & 5 for each file you want to delete.
- Tap the "Done" button to close the "Delete" screen.
Note: If you decide to not delete any files, just click "Done".
