All courses are available to all of our registered users; however, accreditation varies by activity. Epocrates CME offers courses for MDs, DOs, NPs, RNs, PAs, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

We recommend that you review the accreditation statement prior to starting each activity if you plan on claiming credit for the activity.

Is there a limit to the number of activities I can complete or credits I can earn?

No, you can take as many activities and earn as many credits as you’d like. Our courses are available in increments of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, and 1.5 credits, which is based on the time estimated in completing the activity. You can view credit amounts allocated for each activity in the library listing of activities as well as on the first page of each individual activity you select to participate in.

What is CME Companion online?

CME Companion is a unique personal tool set designed for tracking, in real time, your progress in the activities you have started and/or completed. You can access CME Companion online by visiting www.epocrates.com, signing in, and selecting the “CME Companion” icon.

Both our Android and iOS mobile apps offer similar features under the Planner, Tracker, Performance, and Profile tabs.

Can I complete the activity in more than one sitting?

Yes, you can stop an activity at any point and return to it at a later time. Your activity information is saved automatically when you leave, whether it’s the Android, iOS, or online version of Epocrates CME. Regardless of which platform you use to resume the activity, Epocrates CME will save your position in the activity which you can access directly from the library listing, through the CME Companion (online version), or the Tracker tab (within the Android and iOS mobile apps).

Can I start and stop activities on different platforms?

Yes. You can participate in and complete activities from any Android or iOS mobile device, and any personal desktop computer. After beginning any activity, the activity information is saved to your user account so that it is accessible at any time.

How do I request a new CME certificate or reissue a lost certificate?

At the end of each activity, you are given the option to claim CME/CE credit for the activity. Once you complete an activity, you may be asked to submit additional information that is required by the accredited provider in order to issue you a certificate of credit or completion. Once credit is claimed for an activity, an accredited CME certificate will be sent to you via email. Your certificates are always available through the CME Companion (online version), or the Tracker tab (within the Android and iOS mobile apps).
