Physical activity can protect brain health at any age, study finds

Recently published research suggests that physical activity at any age in one's adulthood, and to any extent, may be linked to better cognitive outcomes in later life, but lifetime maintenance of physical activity yielded optimal results. Researchers tracking 30 years of follow-up data from the 1946 British birth cohort study observed that participants who maintained lifelong physically activity had better mental acuity and memory at age 69.
