Start: 1 mg/h via SC infusion x16h/day while awake, then may adjust by 0.5-1 mg/h/day; Max: 98 mg total dose/day; 6 mg/h; Info: may give extra dose 0.5-2 mg SC x1 up to 3 doses/day no more frequently than q3h when starting morning infusion, restarting infusion after >1h break in use, or managing acute off episode; consider premed w/ trimethobenzamide starting 3 days prior to 1st dose, then prn for up to 2mo; taper dose gradually to D/C
