Adult Dosing .

Dosage forms:  INJ (pre-filled syringe): 10 mcg per mL, 20 mcg per mL, 40 mcg per mL

erectile dysfunction

[vasculogenic, psychogenic, or mixed etiology]

Dose: individualize dose intracavernously up to 3x/wk prn; Start: 2.5 mcg intracavernously x1, then within 1h may give 5 mcg intracavernously x1 if partial response or give 7.5 mcg intracavernously x1 if no response, then if additional titration needed, may incr. dose by 5-10 mcg/dose given at least 24h apart until optimal response achieved; Max: 2 doses/24h during initial titration, then 1 dose/24h; 40 mcg/dose; Info: duration of erection not to exceed 1h; use lowest effective dose

[pure neurogenic etiology]

Dose: individualize dose intracavernously up to 3x/wk prn; Start: 1.25 mcg intracavernously x1, then within 1h may give 2.5 mcg intracavernously x1 if no response or give 2.5 mcg intracavernously x1 24h later if partial response, then if additional titration needed, may incr. dose to 5 mcg intracavernously x1 24h later, then may incr. dose by 5 mcg/dose given at least 24h apart until optimal response achieved; Max: 2 doses/24h during initial titration, then 1 dose/24h; 40 mcg/dose; Info: duration of erection not to exceed 1h; use lowest effective dose
