Dose: 0.5 mL IM x1 at mo 0, 1, 6, 12, and 18 for 5 total doses; Info: for patients 18-65 yo w/ high risk of exposure to B. anthracis; give booster dose of 0.5 mL IM q12mo if continued risk; may give booster dose q3y in non-high risk patients

[pre-exposure, SC route]

Dose: 0.5 mL SC x1 on wk 0, 2, and 4, then at mo 6, 12, and 18 for 6 total doses; Info: for patients 18-65 yo w/ high risk of exposure to B. anthracis; give booster dose of 0.5 mL SC q12mo if continued risk

[post-exposure]

Dose: 0.5 mL SC/IM x1 on wk 0, 2, and 4 for 3 total doses; Info: for patients 18-65 yo; SC preferred to IM; use in combo w/ antimicrobial post-exposure prophylaxis; may administer to pregnant patients, breastfeeding patients, patients 66 yo or older in emergency situations
