FDA alert: VidaSlim products recalled due to yellow oleander contamination
Motivate Me Ashley, LLC is recalling several VidaSlim products, including 90-day, 30-day, and 7-day Original Root, Root Plus, and Root Capsules, as well as VidaSlim Hot Body Brew in Strawberry and Peach flavors. This recall follows FDA tests that detected yellow oleander, a toxic substance that can cause serious neurological, GI, and CV effects.
No illnesses have been reported to date. Symptoms of yellow oleander poisoning include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, hypotension, and arrhythmia.
Physicians should advise patients who've purchased VidaSlim products with expiration dates between December 2024 and December 2025 to discontinue use immediately and return the products for an exchange. Patients should be monitored for symptoms of yellow oleander poisoning if they have consumed these products.
