Adult Dosing .

Dosage forms:  DR CAP: 231 mg

multiple sclerosis, relapsing forms

[462 mg PO bid]

Start: 231 mg PO bid x7 days, then 462 mg PO bid; Info: for patients with clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, or active secondary progressive disease; may temporarily decr. dose to 231 mg PO bid if not tolerated, then resume usual dose of 462 mg PO bid within 4wk or consider D/C if usual dose still not tolerated; see pkg insert for tx considerations based on lymphopenia; consider giving with aspirin 30min before dose or with food to reduce flushing; avoid administration with high fat, high calorie meal/snack; do not open cap
