Drug Shortage Update: FDA unclear when Wegovy supply limits will resolve

FDA reports that it's not known when supply of lower doses of Novo Nordisk's Wegovy will normalize—a change from its earlier estimates that supply of the popular weight-loss drug would resume this month. As of September 12, FDA's drug shortage database shows that the 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, and 1 mg doses have limited availability due to demand increase and that the duration of the shortage was TBD, while the higher doses of 1.7 mg and 2.4 mg were still available.
