Hidden ingredients prompt recall of tea marketed as gout treatment

FDA announced a voluntary recall of all lots of Notoginseng Formula Special Gout Granule within expiry. In an FDA lab analysis, the products, distributed by 8th Avenue Pharmacy, were found to contain undeclared diclofenac and dexamethasone. Notoginseng Formula Special Gout Granule was distributed nationwide via retail and ecommerce platforms, including Amazon, Shopify, and Ebay, as well as at the 8th Avenue Pharmacy location in Brooklyn, NY. To date, 8th Avenue Pharmacy hasn't received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
