Nearly 900K tea bags recalled due to elevated levels of pesticide residue
May 17, 2024

Nearly 900,000 Echinacea Immune Support tea bags from the organic Yogi brand have been voluntarily recalled due to trace amounts of pesticides detected on the bags. East West Tea Company first initiated a nationwide recall on March 12 for 54,000 boxes of Organic Yogi Echinacea Immune Support tea bags, because pesticide residues were detected above action levels. FDA has deemed this to be a Class III recall, which means the issue probably won’t cause major health problems. So far, there have been no reports of any illnesses related to the recall.
