Hepatitis B Exacerbation
severe acute HBV exacerbations of hepatitis may occur in HBV/HIV co-infected pts when D/C lamivudine or tenofovir; monitor hepatic fxn closely for at least several months in HBV/HIV co-infected pts who D/C lamivudine/tenofovir; initiate anti-HBV tx if needed, esp. in pts w/ advanced liver dz or cirrhosis
