FreeStyle Libre 3 sensors recalled due to risk of incorrect high glucose readings

Abbott Diabetes Care is recalling certain lots of FreeStyle Libre 3 sensors after finding that a small number of the sensors may provide incorrect high glucose readings, which if undetected may pose a potential health risk. Use of affected product may cause serious adverse health consequences, including severe hypoglycemia which can cause CNS problems, loss of consciousness, seizures, coma, permanent brain damage, and death. To date, two injuries, but no deaths, have been reported.
